Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2005” comprise of twelve musical festivals and a Science-practical conference “Traditional folk arts and the contemporary information technologies”. Main event of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2005” is Festival No1 in Europe of the traditional folk arts – Stara Planina Fest “Balkan Folk”. Every year in the Festival participate 15000 musicians, singers and dancers. Other typical festival of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2005” is “Euro Folk – Russian Island 2005” International Festival for Traditional Folk Arts – held in Moscow Region, Russia - where under preferential conditions take part the awarded with the Grand prix and First Awards from the other musical festivals “Euro Folk”. From the International festivals, that are held untill now, 6 groups – awarded with the “Grand prix” and 10 groups awarded with the “First Awards” are invited to participate in “Euro Folk – Russian Island 2005” International Festival for Traditional Folk Arts in Moscow Region.
Typical feature of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2005” is, that all performances are recorded with professional audio and television technics and the best of them will be broadcasted in Europe. Natural contination of this activity is “Euro Folk” International Festival for TV Musical Products. In this festival except television musical products of “Euro Folk” and “Balkan Folk” take part also specialists and products from other European and world televisions. All this activities realize the main purpose of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2005” – The world is television to make the traditional folk arts popular through the mass media.
The Youth Folkloriad “Euro Folk – Losenez 2005” is a wonderful opportunity for children and youth groups to combine a vacation on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea beaches with a valuable artistic performance. Attractive prices, wonderful nature and southern sun, excellent conditions of life, good experiences, professional audio and video recordings and encounters with the audience and many collegues from differen European countries.
It is carried out in six shifts by 14 days from 3 June till 29 August 2005.
Each shift from the Youth Folkloriad “Euro Folk – Losenez 2005” performs in contest programs in the categories folklore songs, folklore dances, folklore ensembles, folklore orchestras and Orthodox chants. These categories are divided by the age of the participants – younger than 16, younger than 21 and over the age of 21. Besides the contest programs there are Evening concerts, audio recordings in a studio and shooting of video clips. All of the musical performances are being filmed with professional television equipment.
Provided for each of the shifts of the Youth Folkloriad “Euro Folk – Losenez 2005” are one Grand Prix and First Awards for every age group and category.
The Youth Folkloriad “Euro Folk – Losenez 2005” is taking place in the Vacation komplex “Losenez”, which is situated 65 km South of Burgas. It is built in the Skandinavian architecture style. The two and three-storey villas are located right next to the beach.
The complex offers rooms with two, three and four beds as well as mezonets with a bathroom of their own. The capacity of the Vacation town is 660 regular beds. There is a restaurant, a bistro, a café and a discotheque in the Vacation town area. A tourist-center, a parking lot, a treasure safe, table tennis, volleyball court and children plygrounds can be found in the town. All this supplements the comfort for recreation.
The wide beach, the unique sand dunes, the water-wheels and jet, the opportunities for underwater fishing and the two pizza-shops by the beach make the place very attractive to the tourists.
Regulations
The Youth Fokloriad "Euro Folk – Losenez 2005" is held from 3th of June till 29th of August in six shifts within fortheen performing days and evening concerts. Main task of the organizers is to ensure the creative groups an access to the stage, to gather them in a concourse programme aimed at defining the best ones and to popularize the award winners of the fest by broadcasting their art in the European TV channels.
The shifts of the Youth Folkloriad “Euro Folk – Losenez 2005” are by 14 days and begin on the following dates:
- first shift – 3th of June – 17 of June 2005
- second shift - 17 of June – 1st of July 2005
- third shift – 2nd of July – 16 of July 2005
- forth shift – 17 of July – 31st of July 2005
- fifth shift – 1st of August – 15 of August 2005
- sixth shift – 15 of August - 29 of August 2005
The Youth Fokloriad "Euro Folk – Losenez 2005" is organized by Euro Folk Academy, Balkan Folk Academy, the Vacational town “Losenez” and other organizations within the scope of "Euro Folk 2005" Musical Feasts - The world is television, from 3.06. till 29.08.2005.
Host of the festival is the Vacational town “Losenez”, Bulgaria.
