“Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski  2009" International Bard Festival is held within the scope of "Euro Folk 2009" Musical Feasts - The world is television.

Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2009” comprise more than twenty international festivals and are held under the aegis of European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF.

Main event of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2009” is Festival №1 in Europe of the traditional folk arts – Stara Planina Fest “Balkan Folk “. Every year from 9 000 to 15 000 musicians, singers and dancers participate in it.
Typical feature of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk” is, that all performances are recorded with professional audio and television technics and the best of them are broadcasted by more than 50 cable televisions in Bulgaria, the satellite televisions “Eurocom Bulgaria”, “Rodina TV” and “Heros TV”, as well as by the World Wide Internet Television “Euro Folk” at www.eurofolk.com/tv . All this activities realize the main purpose of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk  – The world is television” to popularize the traditional folk arts through the great possibilities of media. “Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski  2009" International Bard Festival gives honor to the world – famous Russian bard Vladimir Visotski and to the numerous bards all over the world, who have been making glad and make glad people souls with their songs. “Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski  2009" International Bard Festival has for an object creation of possibilities for expression of singers, poets and musicians, which perform independently their or somebody else’s songs with their own musical accompaniment. The best of them shall be broadcasted by the above mentioned televisions.  

Preliminary Program


The fest program includes competitions in the following categories:

    * Bards with their own songs;
    * Bards with somebody else’s songs.

  The jury has the right to ask for partial performance  if it exceeds the prescribed time limits. Participants, however, must be prepared, if requested, to perform the program in its entirety.

During the Festival studio audio recordings and filming of professional video clips of participants' program will be made of the ones, awarded by the jury or pay for the recordings.

It is recommendable that the program does not exceed 30 minutes.
It is recommendable that the participants consider at least 3 days in order to make audio recordings and video clips of high quality.

The made recordings will be broadcasted by 50 Bulgarian cable televisions and by 3 satellite televisions with European holding, as well as by the World Wide Internet Televisions “Euro Folk and “Rodina TV”.
During the participation of the collective in the Fest it could be invited by the organizers to take part in the common events - official opening, official closing, cocktail and others.
