“Russian island 2010” International Festival of Folk Theatres is a festival of the award winners from the other festivals Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010”, which take place in different European cities and countries from 3 May till 21 October 2010. Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010” comprise fifteen musical festivals and are held under the aegis of European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF.
Main event of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010” is Festival No.1 in Europe of the traditional folk arts – Stara Planina Fest “Balkan Folk”. Every year in the Festival participate from 9 000 to 15 000 musicians, singers and dancers.
Typical feature of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010” is, that all performances are recorded with professional audio and television technics and the best of them will be repeatedly broadcasted by 50 cable televisions in Bulgaria, the satelite and national cable televisions "Eurocom Bulgaria" and "Heros TV", as well as by the World Wide Internet Television "Euro Folk" at www.eurofolk.com/tv. All this activities realize the main purpose of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010” – The world is television to make the traditional folk arts popular through the media.
Preliminary Program
The fest program includes competitions with no age limitations in the following categories:
- folk songs and dances;
- folk customs;
- folk theater;
The jury will have the right to ask for partial performance and to interrupt it, if it exceeds the prescribed time limits. Participants, however, must be prepared, if requested, to perform the program in its entirety.
During the Festival studio audio recordings and filming of professional video clips of the participants' program will be done free of charge of those performances awarded by the jury or against payment.
The program must not exceed 40 minutes.
It is recommendable that participants should consider 5 days stay in order to make audio recordings and video clips of high quality.
The made recordings will be broadcasted by 50 Bulgarian cable televisions and by satellite televisions with European holding, as well as on Internet television "Euro Folk".
During their participation in the Fest, the group could be invited by the organizers to take part in the common events – Official opening, Official closing, parade, coctail or others.
Regulations
“Russian island 2010” International Festival of Folk Theatres is the main festival of the international festivals within the scope of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010”. In it, under preferential financial conditions, gain the right to participate the awarded with the Grand prix and First Awards from the other nine international festivals “Euro folk”.
“Russian island 2010” International Festival of Folk Theatres is held withhin five performing days and evening concerts. It enables artistic teams and individual performers to showcase their creative projects on the scene of the Moscow State History-Ethnographic Theater and other scenes in Moscow. The main task of the organizers is to ensure the artistic teams an access to the stage, to gather them in a concourse program aimed at defining the best ones, as well as to popularize the award winners of the best by broadcasting their art in Russian and European TV channels, as well as repeatedly on Internet television "Euro Folk".

Regulations for participating in the concourse
To enter the participants an accreditation is necessary that is received under the following conditions:
In “Euro Folk – Russian island 2010” International Festival of Folk Theatres under preferential conditions take part the awarded participants from the other festivals Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2010” and the other groups wishing to take part must stick to the conditions laid by these regulations and to pay the expenses on their participation.
The organizers Euro Folk Academy send invitation and regulations for participation to interested groups.
Those who wish to take part in the festival must fill in and sign application forms, by which they formally agree with the conditions laid by these regulations.
The application forms should be sent not later than 30.04.2010.
It is desireble that the participants should send at the
above-mentioned address of Euro Folk Academy the latest album of the
artist (band) or demo record of not less than two songs. Further to
this it is recommended that the application form should be accompanied
with annotation and promo-materials such as photos.
All sent materials are not subject of return.
Each group taking part receives professionally made on DVD film with its participation on the stage of “Euro Folk – Russian island 2010” International Festival of Folk Theatres with the right of broadcasting in its own country. The prise of this film is included in the accreditation fee.
Awards
Grand prix “Orpheus” and a diploma. The award is decided by the jury in accordance with the procedures, set by the members before the opening of the festival and announced to the entrants on the opening day.

The jury awards the best performances with a free of charge shooting and producing of a video clip.
All award winners are granted deeds as laureats of “Euro Folk 2010”. All award winners get a free of charge copy of the TV product, which consists of their performances, and has been broadcasted in Bulgaria, Russia and Europe.
Every group may order the date and the hour when their performance will be broadcasted on the World Wide Television "Euro Folk" at www.eurofolk.tv/com.
The music program is live. The order of sound-check and performances for each day is decided by the organizers.
Participants do not get paid for their performance.
The deadline for sending the application forms is 31.03.2010.
The jury is international and consists of 5 persons.
Unambiguous text: The artists or presenting organizations, if approved by the jury to participate in the Fest, step back to the organizers the right to be recorded on video and audio, arranged in a program, presenting the fest and broadcasted by a TV channel or some other way, for which will be signed a contractual agreement.
Accreditations
Each music company or independent producer can send representatives on
the Fest, in which case the sender covers the expenses for that.
The organizers of the festival ensure both for the entrants in it and
the guest lodging in a hotel at privileged prices. Applications are
received not later than 30.04.2010 and real ones are cosidered those
ensured by bank transfer.
In spite of the great number of hotels in Moscow those, situated close to rhe cultural event are very few. For this reason there will be accommodated the participants who paid for the lodging first. The deadline for privileged payments is 31.03.2010.
A 10% advance payment of the total amount for lodging or board and lodging (calculated on the chosen by the group prices and the number of days to stay) should be deposited (in EURO) at Bulgarian Post Bank, IBAN:BG97BPBI79311047679001, S.W.I.F.T. BPBIBGSF by 31.03.2010. – Euro Folk Academy Ltd. For example, for a group of 25 people who would stay at a two-star hotel, boarding and lodging for six days the sum comes out to: 25 x 6 x 40 EURO = 6000 EURO. The deposit is 6 000 n 0.1 = 600 EURO. This amount should be deposited on the appointed account. The discounts will be subtracted by the final payment that will be made at the arrival day.
The prices for lodging, which include the festival service are as follows:

boarding and lodging - 115 EURO;
- Three star hotel
boarding and lodging - 73 EURO;
- Two star hotel
boarding and lodging - 40 EURO;
